After starting out as a guitarist in heavy metal bands, Ryuta became interested in the study of classical guitar and music theory, progressing to perform free-form improvisations and compositions, leading to a passion for modern Flamenco guitar playing. He is the event organiser of Act of Sounds – a multi-genre, collaborative event, and has also organized many Flamenco, Latin and Jazz performance events.
